Cheryl Williams was elected as Collin County Commissioner, Precinct 2 in 2010, and she took office in 2011. She was re-elected in 2014 and 2018.

On the Commissioners Court, Cheryl serves as representative to the Regional Transportation Committee, Coalition for Behavioral Healthcare in Collin County, Collin County Criminal Justice Committee.

Precinct 2 includes the cities of:

Allen, Fairview, Garland, Josephine, Lavon, Lucas, Murphy, Nevada, Parker, Plano, Richardson, Royse City, Sachse, St. Paul, and Wylie.
